The current Seoul train station now holds a very large area in the city giving it no purpose and creating serious fragmentation problems to this area in Seoul. The new connection to the airport and the new high efficiency trains connecting Korea with Asia and Europe gives a new opportunity to improve the area.
The project takes the entire site and transforms it to a high function mega complex; merging many activities together and providing new connections between the city neighborhoods. It stands as a complex on its own but at the same time regenerates the area, gives new values to the city businesswise and new tourism factors, and finally it gives Seoul a new important city center.
